Description

This is an agreement whereby an artist engages a producer to carry out a creative remix of a song controlled by the artist. The copyright in the original and the remixed master is retained by the artist and the producer gets paid either an upfront fee, royalties or a combination of both.

The contract provides for alternative drafting for when the producer makes substantial and original contribution to the composition embedded in the remixed song sufficient to qualify him/her to receive performance income.
